From April 16, the 4 national colleges of technology nationwide changed from national institutions to technical colleges established by the National Institute of Technology, an independent administrative agency.
Accordingly, the status of employees has changed from national civil servants to corporate employees. Therefore, instead of the previous "national civil servant recruitment examination," recruitment is conducted through the "National University Corporation Employee Recruitment Examination," which is held in each of the seven regions of the country: Hokkaido, Tohoku, Kanto/Koshinetsu, Tokai/Hokuriku, Kinki, Chugoku/Shikoku, and Kyushu.

Basic salary (starting salary) 220,000 yen (Standard example of a 22-year-old university graduate based on the National University Corporation Staff Recruitment Examination. Excludes regional allowances. Amounts as of April 7.)
* Graduates with work experience in the private sector may receive additional pay based on their years of experience.
