joint education
What is joint education?
``Joint education,'' which involves extensive collaboration with outside parties, not only responds to the ``vocational education'' and ``career education'' that society desires, but also practices the sophistication and individualization of technical college education. The National Institute of Technology runs a nationwide joint education program in collaboration with companies with the aim of helping students acquire practical skills through real-life experiences and increasing their motivation for learning. We offer field programs that allow students to challenge themselves to a high level of skill that cannot be experienced through the school curriculum alone, as well as programs in which students collaborate with other technical college students.
Collaboration with OMRON Corporation
Omron Corporation and the National Institute of Technology are working to develop control engineers who can play an active role immediately in the manufacturing field, in order to promote Japan's academic and scientific technology related to control education and contribute to regional development. We are developing a project to acquire the. In FY2, Omron Corporation donated a large number of PLC control devices to the National Institute of Technology.
- Control technology education camp
This competition has been held since 23 for students who are publicly recruited and selected from national technical colleges nationwide. The goal of this program is to develop autonomous engineers who will work as leaders in manufacturing sites in the future by tackling advanced practical issues related to control technology through self-study in advance and PBL-type practical training during a 5-day intensive training camp. It is something to do. - PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Control Contest
Enhancing education in production system control technology at technical colleges is considered essential for the future development of technical colleges. In this project, in order to meet the needs of industry by using PLCs that are compatible with the international standardization standard for PLC development language "IEC61131-3," student teams will work together to improve the skills of technical college students regarding control technology education. The aim is to learn production technology centered on PLC by creating a prototype system that solves the problems set in the above and competing in a contest format.
Collaboration with Kyocera Communication Systems Co., Ltd.
In FY5, we will focus on LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) and LOCAL 3G communication technologies, which are part of Kyocera Communication Systems Corporation's business, from classroom lectures to actually creating systems and presenting the results. We held four communication technology courses.
Collaboration with NTT Docomo, Inc.
One of the recent keywords in the information industry is IoT (Internet of Things).
With the IoT, various things will have communication functions and will be able to control each other, and a wide variety of devices and services are expected to be developed in the future. The [IoT Online Course] provided by NTT Docomo for technical college students includes classroom lectures on IoT technology and practical courses using access control engines.
Cooperation in holding a contest
- Yahoo Japan Corporation
"Open Hack U" and "Hack U KOSEN" are hackathons for students planned and operated by Yahoo Japan Corporation, and are contests in which students collaborate to develop programs and come up with services, and then compete to show off their skills and ideas. For joint education, we provide event information and coordinate participants.
Open Hack U, which is held every year and is open to students from university students to elementary school students from all over the country, is sponsored by the National Institute of Technology and has an invitation slot for technical college students. In addition, "Hack U KOSEN", which is co-sponsored by the National Institute of Technology, is open only to technical college students enrolled (at the time of application) at national, public, and private technical colleges nationwide. - heroes league
The Heroes League is a collection of development contests (leagues) held by MA, a general incorporated association, in which anyone can become a hero through ``Tsukuru.'' We have prepared the ``KOSEN Award'' for technical college students from joint educational projects. I am.
