Tokyo National College of Technology compiled the results of fact-finding and background investigations conducted through interviews with relevant faculty, staff, and students into a "basic investigation," which was explained to the bereaved family on December 28, 2020. However, the bereaved family requested additional investigations due to insufficient information, and on August 8, 2021, the "Third-Party Investigation Committee on the Suicide Case at Tokyo National College of Technology" was established at the National Institute of Technology Headquarters Secretariat.
