Information on Family Support Center business
Family Support Center
Do you know about the Family Support Center? It is a great ally for picking up and dropping off children at daycare centers or after-school care, during the recovery period for sick children, when you can't get out of work, or when you can't take time off.
Family Support Center is a membership organization where people who want to receive childcare and nursing care assistance in the community (requesting members) and those who want to do it (providing members) become members and help each other with childcare and nursing care. The Family Support Center communicates and coordinates mutual aid activities, such as transporting infants to and from childcare facilities and looking after children after school. Family support centers are established and operated by municipalities.
♦Examples of mutual aid activities ~When can they be used?~
- Transportation to and from childcare facilities and child care afterward
- Leave your child in the care of your child before or after the daycare facility starts or after school.
- Child care in case of guardian's illness or urgent business, etc.
- Child care during ceremonial occasions and other children's events
- Child care when going out for shopping etc.
The content of assistance varies within the scope permitted by each center in each city, ward, town, or village. In addition, some municipalities provide childcare services for sick children, post-illness children, and emergencies such as early mornings and evenings. Please contact the Family Support Center in your city, ward, town or village to find out if this is being implemented.
♦How can I use it?
If you register with a local family support center and apply for use, they will introduce you to members who live near your home or nursery school. Through discussion between the requesting member and the provider member, it is possible to request that the child be picked up from the childcare facility or spent time at the provider member's home.
♦What are the usage fees?
After the support activity ends, the requesting member pays the provider member a fee based on the activity time and content. The amount varies depending on each city, ward, town, village, time zone, and content. (Approximately 700 yen to 900 yen/hour, dinner fee, etc.)
