Comprehensive collaboration agreement concluded with Panasonic Group to develop next-generation manufacturing talent
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the National Institute of Technology (NITC) signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Panasonic Holdings Co., Ltd. (Panasonic Group) with the aim of developing new human resources, in anticipation of an era in which the fusion of software technologies such as generative AI with manufacturing is required.
Through this agreement, the National Institute of Technology and the Panasonic Group will jointly develop a new curriculum for human resource development in Japan's manufacturing sector. This marks the first time that the National Institute of Technology and a private company have jointly developed a curriculum aimed at mutual human resource development from a medium- to long-term perspective, and the two companies will work to develop the human resources and advance education that will lead the "next generation of manufacturing."
In recent years, manufacturing has been rapidly shifting from a hardware-centered approach to a solution-based approach that combines software and hardware. In order to maintain and strengthen technological capabilities amid global competition, it is essential to develop human resources who can adapt to these changes. To develop human resources who can adapt to environmental changes, the comprehensive collaboration agreement includes (1) the co-creation of practical education, (2) support for the advancement of education and research, and (3) personnel exchanges.
