At the opening ceremony, Principal Kasai of Akashi National College of Technology, the representative school, gave a speech and explained the background of holding the National Institute of Technology Women's Forum, and addressed female junior high school students and their parents to the forum. They said that by asking them specifically about their efforts, they would like the students to take advantage of the opportunity to consider technical college as an option for their future career.

After the opening ceremony, 7 female students from seven technical colleges in the Kinki region and four other technical colleges from other regions gave 4 poster presentations on education, research activities, and student life at technical colleges for female junior high school students and their parents. The students gave presentations using their own ingenuity, such as preparing actual models, about the features of classes at technical colleges and student life. At the same time, an ``Admissions Consultation Corner'' was set up with representatives from each technical college providing information to help students learn more about the college.
Participating junior high school students and their parents said, ``There was a lot of content that I was interested in. They made eye contact, explained things with a smile, and always asked if I had any questions at the end.'' "I was able to learn a lot about the technical college, its life, classes, events, etc." "The explanations given by the students attending the school were very easy to understand. The lectures from the teachers were also easy to understand." Many people said they were glad they participated.

There was a greeting saying that they were looking forward to it.

Poster presentation by female technical college students aimed at corporate stakeholders

A total of 7 female students from seven technical colleges in the Kinki region and four other technical colleges in other regions gave poster presentations to corporate stakeholders about the skills they had learned and cultivated at technical colleges. The female students confidently presented their presentations in front of company officials and answered questions thoroughly. Regarding the students' presentations, they said, ``I was impressed by how energetic and polite they were.The most important thing was that they seemed to be having fun.'' ``They have a solid vision and background.'' ``In addition to recruitment, it was an opportunity for me to come into contact with students' research and life information.'' We have received positive feedback from many companies, such as, ``This was very helpful as there is no such thing as a lack of research.'' We also received feedback on areas for improvement, such as, ``It would be better if there were more presentations on research fields.''

There were 61 presentations from companies aimed at female technical college students and technical college faculty members, the highest number of any forum to date, and the participants enthusiastically asked questions about the success of female engineers at companies and initiatives for gender equality. Many female students were seen doing so. For the female students, it was a very valuable opportunity to hear directly from people at companies and think about their own careers.

At the closing ceremony, Yujiro Uchiyama, Deputy Director-General and Director of the Gender Equality Promotion Office of the National Institute of Technology, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to create an opportunity for technical college personnel and business personnel to come together to think about promoting the active participation of female engineers. , expressed their hopes for the success of female technical college students.
